Gas-Fired Curing Oven for CES Transformers — Designed for Faster, Efficient Performance
Eastman Manufacturing designed and installed a custom gas-fired curing oven for CES Transformers in Markham, Ontario.
This high-performance system was engineered to reduce curing time, enhance temperature precision, and maximize energy efficiency in transformer production.
Direct-Fired Design with Optimized Airflow & Space-Saving Guillotine Door
The oven features a direct-fired gas heating system with a combination of horizontal and vertical airflow, ensuring uniform temperature distribution across every transformer component during curing.
A space-saving guillotine-style door was integrated into the design, making it ideal for facilities with limited floor space while maintaining smooth and safe operation.
Through precise temperature control and optimized airflow, the new system reduced curing time by nearly 50% compared to the previous setup.
This efficiency improvement not only increases production throughput but also delivers significant energy savings and more consistent quality results.
Eastman’s engineering team managed the “complete process—from design and fabrication to on-site installation”—delivering a durable and reliable curing solution that supports CES Transformers’ commitment to productivity and performance.
